• Hi
My first post on here so hoping someone can help. I run this blog – https://www.globocation.com and need help with a few things:
    1. I’m desperate to change the background. I would ideally like to insert a sky blue background fading into white. I read that adding some code to the custom.css file should overwrite the default but I’ve had no joy – can anyone help? What snippet of code should I be pasting in? (I’m a writer not a coder so please assume I have no css knowledge!)
    2. Is it possible to have my post categories as my main nav and use the black bar at the top of the page for my pages?
    3. What size do the Custom Images have to be to use the Featured Posts functionality? You can see from my Globoposts section there are images missing – some fit, some dont?! I keep getting this message even when I resize to smaller…
WooThemes Upload Error: Image – Specified file failed upload test.

    THANKS!!
    GDAVE

You can upload your background image in appearance background

If you theme supports custom menu then you can add categories in your menu. If you do not see category box then click on screen options and select categories

    Thanks Govpatel.
Under my Appearance section I do not have a ‘background’ option? I’m definitely using Bueno theme so I dont understand!?

Under the Appearance section I do have ‘custom menus’ but that doesnt really explain how I make the post categories appear as my horizontal navigation? Do you know how to do this?

    Thank you

    Dave

When you go in menus page on top left Theme Location do see text that this does not support custom menu or a navgation with box

    Hello everyone,

I have 2 rather basic questions:

    1) How do I remove the link “uncategorized” that comes by default on the top black horizontal navigation bar.

    2) Is there an option in the CMS to change the background from the dots without getting into the CSS?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rookie Luis

I first off you need to start your own topic and we need to see your url so that we guide you with your questions.

    Ooops! Sorry.

    https://www.ceji.org/facingfacts

Told you I was a rookie.

    and if I may abuse:

    3) do you know how I could direct the website to a different domain I already own (facingfacts.eu) but keeping the wordpress website hosted in that same server (which is currently and exclusively associated with the domain ceji.org)

    Thank you in advance,

    Luis

When add a category and then add a post in category you will not see uncategorized as that post hello world does not have category
