You will need to consult the documentation that came with the Bueno theme (I suspect it’s a possible navigation menu setting in the theme) or go to WooThemes for support. Because it is a commercial theme, it’s not freely available for inspection. Plus, you probably paid for support from WooThemes when you made the purchase.

Thanks Clayton. I didn’t pay for it and have had trouble getting support from them. Maybe I will need to pick another theme! Thanks so your quick reply.

    You’re welcome.

[edit] I just did a quick search, and that theme may have actually been available in a free version (maybe that’s why they don’t want to support it). Unfortunately, WooThemes.com seems to be having some server issues at the moment, so I can’t download a copy right now. I’ll take a peek at it once their site is back to normal, and see if it’s something easy to correct.

I just tested a copy of Bueno. Pretty neat theme.

Navigate to your Dashboard > Beuno > Custom Navigation.

On the right side of the options page, tick the “enable” box
under “setup custom menu” and save the changes. Now, in the menu selector drop down dialog, you should see two menu labels. Woo Menu 1 and Woo Menu 2. Switch to Woo Menu 2 and save the changes. That should probably show you the selectable menu items for that top menu and you can now add or delete categories or pages at your discretion. That should allow you to control what will appear in the top black navigation area in the header.
    Good luck!

    hey clayton,
really appreciate you installing that. so first for anyone else reading i did not even have ‘custom navigation’ under bueno. thought it maybe installed wrong but found under FRAMEWORK …”Enable Custom Navigation” and when checked that option appeared in my left panel.

i followed your other instructions and found the woo 2 menu. you need to hit ‘set menu’ after you click enable or it keeps going back to the disabled status. ?? then i was off. saw that it had all my categories listed there so took them out one by one. so definitely progress. still could have sworn other people i have seen with Bueno have no black at all up there. and i still have got a search up there.

wonder if popping back and forth between that and the wordpress menu manager will be ok?
