Buddypress/Multisite – "Name (required)" being set to username

Hi – I initially had WordPress with Buddypress plugin and the “”Name (required)” entered during signup used to be split into First Name, Last Name correctly and the Nickname used to be set as well.

However, after enabling multi-site, the “Nickname” is being set to “username” while the “First Name” and “Last Name” fields are empty.

I’ve searched for a possible solution but can’t find a fix.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thank you.
