Buddypress upgrade

  • Buddypress has just upgraded to 1.8. Now I have error creating a group. It is happening when clicking “next step” on the settings page. Getting this error – Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home1/toscalah/public_html/kissmychaddies/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/extend/buddypress/group.php on line 461

    Any suggestions as to cause?

  • Exact same situation and same issue here.

    Strange, it creates a group anyway. I can manage the group settings if I go to “Groups” in the Panel. But it is lame way solve this, but it works until someone solve this.

    Another temporary solution: I installed back to Buddypress version 1.7.3 and it works.

    I got this error when I was trying to create a group and got to the create forum step (bbpress plugin).

    Has someone submitted a bug for this yet?

    Is rolling back to earlier version of buddypress the best solution?
