Buddypress pros and cons ??

  • What are the pros and cons regarding using buddypress.

    Im thinking of using it but would like to hear from the community about it..

    Well i have this site https://www.spotcream.com and im thinking what else can i do to it ive got to build a forum but not sure.

    Basically i want to add as much functionality as possible..

    Buddy Press is a nice community add on for simple communication groups and social networking. This can compliment a forum well. I am running it on a free homepage website and I have little or no real trouble with it, having said that its not a website with tons of plugins or other things that can / may interact with Buddy Press, so my opinion is a smidge limited ??

    What would you suggest to add better functionality i would like the users to interact with each other as well as the site.
