• Good day,

I am using multisite and the same theme for both my forums and my help desk. It is required to register independent of one another, although if a user is a user of one and is logged in, and is on the register page for the other, this is a one click process.

The issue is that when a user of both ‘sites’ (using sub-folders) posts something from their dashboard, it shows up on both installs.

I have emailed the theme Dev and he instructed that it is not supposed to occur and that it may be a multisite problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Is their a line or two of code that could be added to the Htaccess in the main file that would keep this user compartmentalized with separate Buddypress profiles? Any help would be great as this site is literally days from beta and we have put months of effort into getting where we are today.

    Kindest Regards,
    Shane@Valiant

You may need to ask about this on buddypress.org but at a guess, you have BuddyPress network activated, so it shares the whole network in the profile by default.

    Thanks for the advice Mika,

I was very excited that the fix may be as simple as a network activation:( unfortunately no… Great thought though! I also tried something else I thought might fix the issue but still nothing.

I will reach out to buddypress..

    Kindest,
    Shane
