• Hi everyone,

I just installed Buddypress on WordPress 3.0. I’ve noticed, since installing the plugin and configuring the options in my admin folder, that I can see my front page fine. But if I try to go to any other page (forums, activity, members, etc.), I get a message that tells me the page doesn’t exist.

I had this problem before, when I tried to configure .htaccess for the multiple blog option on 3.0. The same thing happened, and I realized that .htaccess had a line of code that was messing me up. I simply #’d the “RewriteEngine On” line and everything went to normal.

Is there a similar line in the Buddypress plugin that I can # to resolve this issue?

No, that’s the whole .htaccess. What code would do what you’re saying here? I don’t know .htaccess code all that well.

The code you had is the correct code for a Unix box running WP, in 99% of the setups I’ve seen.

Since it’s NOT working, you’ll need to find out what your setup is, and that means, since this is a campus server at the Uni you work for, ask the server nerds ‘Hey, what are the specs on this server? I need the OS, SQL version and PHP version, please and thank you!’ I suggest bringing blandishments. Donuts and sodas are good.

Did that. Thanks for your help. The server people had to do a mod_rewrite and make it compatible with Buddypress.
