• Hi, I am finding that buddypress members on my site cannon upload group documents themselves. Only myself as the administrator can. I have made sure that all group members can upload and edit documents.

They get an error saying – “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

Is this a common issue? Is there a fix. Thanks for your help!

  • We’re also experiencing this same issue, but even our admin account is unable to upload attachments. We get the same error message, “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

I noticed that this same error message occurs with other plugins. Could it be a bug with the uploader?

    Thanks!

Thank you very much for your Great BuddyPress Docs plugin!

We’re also experiencing this same issue. Our Admin account is able to upload documents. But, our BuddyPress members are unable to upload documents. We get the same error message: “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you!

Hi I’m having the same issue. Admins can upload docs fine, normal members can’t. Whenever they try to do so they get a ‘HTTP error’

Tried this on two installs and get a same problem. Tried checking settings and nothing changes it.

I have noticed that if a member saves the docs details without adding the attachment, saves it, then goes to edit it and then adds the attachment, the user doesn’t encounter the error. Please help.

I have exactly the same issue. Uploading a doc just from your member profile (not as admin and not from within a group) works however and you can indicate there that the doc belongs to a group. It’s a workaround although not optimal.
    WP 3.5.1 buddypress docs 1.4.4 buddypress 1.7.2

I noticed that the file upload folder gets created in wp-content/uploads/bp-attachments but the file is not saved there and the error message as mentioned above appears.

Thank you again for your Great BuddyPress Docs plugin!

Does this problem relate to the enclosed message error when accessing the ‘Docs’ tab under a group ‘Admin’?

“Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in integration-groups.php on line 983”

Environment: BuddyPress Docs 1.4.5, BuddyPress 1.8, WordPress 3.5.2
