BuddyPress Groups page redirects to Home

    When bbp style pack is active, the default BuddyPress Groups page redirects to Home for all non-members instead of displaying the groups listing with the ‘Request Membership’ buttons. All groups are set to private in BuddyPress so should display on the groups page with a Request Membership button. Also using corresponding private group setup in bbP private groups, required to view forum, but this applies to forums, not groups. Again, I don’t see a setting in bbp style pack constraining display of groups?

    Correction, logged-in users, who are members of a group(s), are also redirected to home page when trying to access the default BuddyPress groups page.

    Well, never mind ?? Appears there is a conflict between the ‘Ivory Search’ plugin and bbp style pack.

    Not familiar with Ivory Search. I will try to replicate the issues on my dev server and see if there’s an easy way to account for the issue.

    sorry, turns out it isn’t Ivory Search (I didn’t submit the second reply I did). Turning off all profiles in Profile section also turns off groups listings.

    OK – so you’re straight with this then. Just have to keep profiles active if you want to use groups as well. Right?

    @scarlettr8 – version 5.6.3 was just released and included changes to BuddyPress integration. Now the profile visibility settings setup in the Style Pack “Profiles” tab only affects actual profiles, but not any other part of BuddyPress. That means your BuddyPress-specific groups/forums/blogs/etc will load as expected regardless of what you have setup in the Style Pack “Profiles” tab. Check it out and let us know if you have any other issues with BuddyPress profiles and Style Pack.
