Buddypress Group Activity Emails sent inconsistantly

  • When posting an activity to a buddypress group, the email may post to 5 of 50 members or is not going through at all.

    It does reliably go via WP-Mail-SMTP, but the volume of email sent really slows the posting process down so we need to use a queuing plugin.

    We tried without wp-cron, but it would not process the mail.

    Any help would be great.
