Buddypress full name (first name last name) mapping

I have a Buddypress profile field for “Full Name” (since I didn’t want to separate it into two different fields) and I’d like to map the user’s First Name plus Last Name (separated by space) into it. However, for the source I can only select either one, or Display Name, but it doesn’t seem to be what I’m looking for.
Is there perhaps some function snippet that I can use to make this possible? Thank you!
