    I have installed BuddyPress Custom Profile Menu plugin 3 times in the hope of getting it working but to no avail, it crashes WordPress leaving me with a white screen and completely unable to access any part of WP. The only way to to get it working again is to rename the BuddyPress Custom Profile Menu folder through my FTP program.

    I have tried disabling the following installed plugins but it still crashes WP: Custom Facebook Feed, Media Press, Redux Framework, Redux Developer Disabler, Theme4Press, TinyMCE and WPBackup.
    BuddyPress was kept active.

    Without completely uninstalling all of the above plugins, does anyone know of any incompatiblity issues between these plugins and BuddyPress Custom Profile Menu or if there is a work-around?

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi Michael,

    So what you’re saying is that the plugin works (e.g. on a fresh install) until the above plugins are installed, then WordPress starts crashing? Also, what versions of WordPress and BuddyPress are you using?

    Thanks,
    Tarek

    Hi Tarek,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I have just tried it on a spare site with only BuddyPress installed and it would appear to work ok.
    The subdomain site is the one in question. All the plugins were installed and working ok prior to installing BuddyPress Custom Profile Menu, on activation the whole site crashed.
    If it would be of any help, I can activate the plugin and at the same time give you the URL but I’m not sure if that would help

    I am running the latest versions of WordPress, 4.6 and BuddyPress 2.6.2

    Thank you
    Michael

    Hi Tarek,

    If it’s of any help, I can make give you temporary access to the site and send you the site address via the Sensible Plugins online contact form.

    Hi Michael,

    It would be really helpful if you’re able to do the following steps:

    1. Update our plugin to the very latest 1.6.2 version (released today).

    2. Place the following two lines at the very end of your wp-config.php file:

    define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );

    3. Refresh your site page a couple of times.

    You should now find a new file called debug.log in your wp-content folder. Please zip this file and email it to us at: support{at}sensibleplugins.com

    Please let me know if you need any help with the above steps.

    Best regards,
    Tarek
