BuddyPress compatibility?

Any chance of this being a possibility? As it stands, the Modal works but bypasses BP and uses WP Register functionality.

So users can register and participate in forums, but I lose custom password and account activation functionality (which, honestly, I’m now debating the point of anyway).

Thoughts?
