    Tobias,

The good news is that the last advice you gave me worked out great. I’ve been able to create a sorting mechanism with my site that’s exactly what I wanted, so thank you for that.

The one thing still on my wish list is the ability for my users to add on to my tables. I’m building a site through buddypress that will display bar deals in a certain order and while I’m willing to insert all the data initially, it would be great if the bars could add on to it later so that I wouldn’t have to manually continue to update the tables.

I realize this is a very specific request. I’m merely throwing it out there hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction. Also, if you have any interest in taking on a paid project like this, I would be very interested in discussing that as well.

    My email is [email protected]

    Regards,
    Ryan Walden

    Hi Ryan,

    thanks for your post.

Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you here. Something like this simply is not possible with the plugin. It is out of scope of TablePress, and implementing something like this would require a totally different plugin structure and architecture.
This is not something I can change, even if I wanted to. I also appreciate your offer to do this on a professional basis, but as this is just a (though time intensive) hobby for me, I have to decline.

If you really want something like this, I suggest that you look for a different plugin, e.g. something that takes form input and adds that to a (mySQL) database. I’m not totally sure that something like this exists, but I’m quite confident that one of the many form plugins around WordPress can do this. You would then probably just have to extend that code to query the relevant entries from the database and display those as a table.

Sorry that I don’t have better news here ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: I recommend that you edit your initial post and remove your email address, to prevent spam mails.
