Buddypress activity plus issue

Hope you’re doing well!

1.Add links is not properly working.It shows preview for everyone but not posting after clicking add links.

I’ve confirmed this bug on our end and have reported it to our developers

2.Add photo url is also not working,it not even showing the preview.

I could not reproduce this issue on my end and on your site. Would you please try again with a different image URL?

3.Today I found a new problem that,shared youtube video is not showing full view of the video.We can’t see the player (bottom) part.

This related to your theme’s styling. Please add the following CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

 .ast-oembed-container {
    max-height: 522px;
    height: 442px;
 }

1. Your CSS code is doing well for me.
2. I changed buddypress legacy to buddypress Nouveau.It has better view than legacy, but activity sare is not at all working.Can you please help me to solve it.

I signup and login to your website to check activity sharing but looks like you deactivated our plugin and using another one, right? If the problem same with before as Nastia said it’s reported and we should wait for a fix from developers. If this is different I need to see it on site.

I reactivated your plugins and activated buddypress Nouveau.I have the following problems.
1. Share link is not working.(Already informed Ms.Nasta and se informed developers to retify)
2. Buddypress activity share is not working in both buddypress Nouveau & legacy.
I am not an expert in wordpress, and also I am a self learner.Please support me .

Hope you’re well.

I tried sharing an image from URL, link and sharing texts on https://www.liivnow.com/activity/ page. Looks like images and texts works okay for me. But links not working as you and Nastia mentioned. We have a bug report about that so we are okay about it for now.

But I can share something on activity so didn’t understand the second issue. Can you be more specific about it? Can’t you share like I share?

Hi Oguz,
Thank you for your reply. I checked the sharing. Still I have same problem. When I click share, I am getting a new error page with a note. Note is ‘it looks like the link pointing was faulty.Maybe try searching? ‘.Whatever I share it’s happening. Looking forward to get resolved.

Can you share a screenshot with us? And please let me know your computer operating system and version (like windows 10), your browser and browser version? Lastly, can you try from another browser or another device without any browser extension?

I didn’t understand the instructions you provided. The link you mentioned is not the share page, https://www.liivnow.com/activity/ this is the activity share page. You can upload images anywhere and link here.

Can you write the steps you follow while sharing anything? So I can try exactly same thing from my side.

Hope all is well!

We have checked your site and the website returns an ID => false, so when a post/link is shared it is not saved in the database.

There is definitely some error in the debug.log that can help us troubleshoot this issue. Would you please email us directly to [email protected] so we could continue troubleshooting this issue? Please include “Attn: Nastia” in a subject line, otherwise, it will be lost; and add a link back to this thread for reference.

After some troubleshooting, looks like WordPress is blocking links in comments, if these contain more than X number of links.

To change this option, please go to the Settings > Discussion, change the value from 2, to 50 for example in Comment Moderation field. See attached screenshot:
