    Hello,

I’m currently creating a learning website. My customers should meet in Buddypress groups and help each other via video chat. Your plugin is really good for that.
With the shortcode [buddymeet] Jitsi is displayed.
    https://verbundenheitstraining.com/kategorie-beziehung/
If I click on “Buddymeet” in a group, a new transparent window opens in the browser.
    https://verbundenheitstraining.com/gruppen/beziehungen-verbessern/buddymeet/
Jitsi is not shown. The page remains empty.
    What can that be?
I really like your plugin. Only it doesn’t work properly yet.

    Second question.
If Buddymeet works, I would like to rent a vServer and host my own Jitsi instance on it. Have you already installed Jitsi instances on servers? Do you accept such work? In which country do you work?
    Thanks Volker S.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

it depends on what other plugins your have installed in your WP installation and in your browser. Moreover, the recommended browser by Jitsi Meet team is Chrome.

    Thanks,

    Hello Themis
I have deactivated all plugins. Only Buddypress and Buddymeet were still active. The problem is still there.
When Buddymeet is activated …/beziehungen-verbessern/buddymeet/ seems to open a transparent layer.
In the menu you can operate the navigation on the first level. So the main navigation works.
Only the submenus of the main navigation do not open at a> hover, BuddyMeet is activated.

I go back in the browser to …/beziehungen-verbessern/ go back to the submenus at a> hover.
Is it maybe a problem with z-index?

Firefox only works. Chrome doesn’t work on the page with the shortcode [buddymeet] either.

    Thank you

    Hello Themis

    Version 1.6.0 works. I’m excited.
What struck me: If guests (no members) go to > Category Groups> Group then you can see “Buddymeet” in the navigation.
If unregistered visitors click on “Buddymeet” an error occurs. That scares off guests.
Perhaps it can still be programmed so that the “Buddymeet” button is only displayed to registered members in the groups.

I still need about 6-8 weeks until all videos for courses and the website are ready.
Then I want to rent a vServer.
Can you then install and set up a Jitsi instance for me on the vServer?
    Does Jitsi need port 80?
Or can Jitsi be installed on a vServer together with WordPress?
Jitsi and WordPress plugins must not influence each other.

I really like your plugin Buddymeet.
Now I can create groups and offer courses in groups.
In the video conferences, the members can exchange information about the content of the courses and support each other.
Really great what is possible with WordPress.

    Thank you
    Volker
