    Hey there…

Plugin looks AMAZING. If I can get it to work, I’ll gladly contribute to development, but…
I am running BP 1.7 on WP 3.5.1 and have BuddyDrive installed on a Multisite installation. I had to install the little bit of code (referenced in another string) in my child theme functions file to get it to look right, so it looks good, but isn’t working with any file type– though it guides me through the process as if it is working.

I am able to add a file description, set privacy, and then seemingly upload the file. The files list in my profile as if everything has worked. But…
    1) The link to open the file takes me to a “Page not found” page. Example: https://mysite.org/buddydrive/file/filename/
    2) If I “share” the item, it appears in the activity stream (which is good), but then the link from there doesn’t work either.
    3) Also, when I refresh my BuddyDrive page, the links that said “shared” read as “share” again– so it looks like the item is not shared (they still appear on the activity stream though.)

The BuddyDrive folder was created correctly within UPLOADS, and has the same permissions as the normal upload folders (705). None of the files I “uploaded” made it into that folder though.

This is a private community with https, but I can create a login for you if that is helpful.

    Cheers,
    JM

  • Hi jaemaz, I had the same problem.

Check that you have specified the BuddyDrive page in “Settings” -> “BuddyPress” -> “Pages”.

The name of the page should be “BuddyDrive”, if you change the name to anything else it will not work – at least that is what was causing my problem.

Changing the name back to “BuddyDrive” worked like a charm for me

Thanks sunsetcowboy for your help, the page needs to be buddydrive (slug)..
When sharing an activity, at the refresh of the page it’s possible to share it again, otherwise some would have asked if they can share more than once.
Thks 4 ur interest in this plugin.
