BruteProtect Install and Setup

I have installed BruteProtect on a temporary url on rackspace(porting old WP site to rackspace)
Will there be a problem with the setup after the main domain’s DNS is pointed to rackspace. Or can I setup the API key for the plugin on the temporary url itself?
