    Have you activated the “pingback protection” firewall rule? if not you should do so because those attempts are probably coming from xml-rpc attacks.

    Oh! Yes that’s it. I can’t activate that because I’m using WordPress for android ??

    After finding this thread, I looked up the “pingback protection” firewall rule, as I seem to be having a similar issue as the OP.

    Knowing nothing about XML-RPC, I Googled it andI found this page of the WordPress Codex, which says that XML-RPC is now enabled by default since WordPress 3.5:

    What are the pros/cons of enabling the pingback protection feature – and thus disabling my site’s XML-RPC functionality?
