We have invested a good bit of time and effort into our site. Unfortunately this Theme results in the site ( which is very simple and should load fast ) being too slow to be usable. We have installed a plugin to attempt and speed it up but it did not get it done.

When we speed test the site it shows the scripts are dragging it down badly. Much more than images.

You should let people who plan to use this theme for E-commerce know how slow it is. Google is slamming slow web sites now.

We will need to start over with a much faster theme.

I wish we could update this post. We have been working on the site and have gotten the speed up. Still slow for the simplicity and size of the pages. Speed of an E-commerce site is very important. This theme is lacking in that area.

If anyone has suggestions we are still willing to try to improve it.

    Hello,

Go to Dashboard > Theme Panel > Scripts & Style and disable those files that you are not using in your site.
Instead of it, you can try the Swift Performance lite plugin with a CDN service to improve the site performance and speed. Hope it helps you.

Thanks for the assistance. We have installed Swift Performance and are using CDN. It has helped but the site needs to be faster.

How can we determine which files are not being used?

    Thanks again

Without seeing your site settings, It is not possible to tell you.
For example, if you are using Minimal Header style, then disable the other header styles files.

    Hey Amit,

We were making some progress. Unfortunately when we install and activate Swift Performance lite, our site becomes accessible via our non-secure and non-wordpress domain.

    suncoastorganics.com – Wrong
    https://www.suncoastorganics.com/ – Correct

We basically only have OceanWP and Elementor installed. I do not see how we could be the only people experiencing this issue with Swift Performance lite.

So now we are back to square one.

Have you contacted the plugin support about the issue? Try to use Really Simple SSL plugin to fix this issue and let me know it works or not.

    (@suncoastorganics)

Yes Amit I have. I was hoping someone here may have experienced it.

Do you have any idea why the swift plugin would do that?

As usual, thanks for the quality support.

No, I have no idea why it is happening. If there is an issue with the plugin, the plugin support will surely fix it.

We seem to have been able to speed the site up quite a bit. OceanWP is able to be optimized to be faster. You guys should keep in mind that with the boom of cell phones websites are needing to be faster. Google is putting major emphasis on this.

We are still unable to use swift. It does not appear to have anything to do with OceanWP or any other plugin.

    Thanks again for your support.

This is unbelievable. By using some simple techniques to increase the speed of this Ocean WP site it is now blazing fast. It is scoring 94 on google speed test. Up from a brutal 9. This theme can be used to create a very fast e-commerce site.

Well unfortunately it did not work out. Swift Performance Light caused some real problems and behaved differently on different browsers. So we are back to the mid 40s. Hopefully we will be able to find a viable solution.

    Hello,

Can you please explain what problems you are seeing with Swift Performance lite? You can also try WP Rocket. We are using it for all our websites.

    (@suncoastorganics)

Hey Amit, When we typed in the domain of the site it was forwarding it to a swift cached page. It was also causing a page to flicker before the page fully loaded. On Edge and Firefox it was basically loading a white text version of the page and then loading the page. The site eventually became completely unusable on Edge.

When we get a chance we will give WP Rocket a try.

I have an update for you. We gave WP Fastest Catch a try and the unpaid version has the site at about 80, with no problems.

Great! Hope it will fix all the issue with the page loading time.
