    Hello MailPoet-team,

I hope you are doing well?

So far I had a great experience with MailPoet 3 and now I’m ready for sending out my first newsletters.

Alas I noticed that when clicking “view in browser” the shortcodes are not parsed. For example “first and last name”

They are nicely parsed in the received email but not when viewing the email in the browser version (clicking on “view in browser” link in email)

No matter what I try (logged in or not from WP) it always shows:

    Hallo [subscriber:firstname | default:reader],

    In the email is shows,

    Hallo ShadowHunter,

I have the feeling I’m missing something simple but cannot figure out what… I’m using the latest version of MailPoet 3.59.2

Thank you so much for your feedback.

    With best regards,

    ShadowHunter

    Hello,

Sorry to ask but am I really the only one that has this issue? I have all my mailings on hold due to this bug.

    Thank you for responding.

    With best regards,

    ShadowHunter

    Hello,

    Okay, a quick update:

    – When clicking “view in browser” on the received email shortcodes are NOT parsed
    – When opening same email in browser via the MailPoet archive page is DOES parse the shortcodes correctly

I checked both URL and they are 100% the same.

So, in my opinion this is a serious bug giving a very unprofessional result and poor experience for the reader/customer.

    Thank you for your feedback.

    With best regards,

    ShadowHunter

    Hi!

Thanks for the report about the shortcode not rendering in the browser.

We can confirm this is a bug and we’re working on it to have it fixed in the next plugin update. The fix will work for future emails, but not retroactively for emails that have been already sent.

    Have a nice day!

@therealshadowhunter We just released MailPoet version 3.60.2 and it should fix the problem. Can you please update and test it? Thanks Pavel
