• So I am unsure what is happening but when I post the broswer tab goes to the title of the New Post instead of just my site name. ie Andrew Mondia Unsure why that is. Looked over at other discussions but nothing helped so far. the site I can use help is https://www.andrewmondia.com And it is self-hosted if that is important to know.

  • Hey Andrew, I am trying to figure your issue right now. But, in the meantime, while at [a link] your site [pointed to]:

    https://resumes.actorsaccess.com/andrewmondia

I noticed it says, “Hair Color: Blue” which, I believe, is a typo. ??

    Hi Andrew,

Hmm, I am a bit miffed. You say when you make a “… post the broswer tab goes to the title of the New Post instead of just …” the name of your site — Andrew Mondia. And, that’s correct.

That is, for example, your post titled “Eastern Europe Travel Experience” (see https://andrewmondia.com/eastern-europe-travel-experience-august-2014/) displays the post title | website tile (i.e., Eastern Europe Travel Experience | Andrew Mondia) in the browser tab.

If you only want it to display your website title (i.e., Andrew Mondia) in your posts then you’ll need to use a plugin. BUT, and it’s a BIG one, why? That is, proper Search Engine Optimization (SEO) requires *unique* appropriately titled posts and pages. See this for more information:

    https://moz.com/learn/seo/title-tag

    Hope something here helps!

Thanks for that error on resume. Unsure why that is there.

As for second point.. Even though posts are published publicly.. they are not easily accessed. I simply go to https://www.andrewmondia.com and get the most recent posted in TAB. It stays like that no matter what page I am on too.

andrewmondia.com is my acting website and even though it’s a wordpress blog format it’s not like the other site I am running which is a a total blog. Hence why I do want TAB to say website name.
