• Hey guys,

Wanted to point out another quick issue that I found, this time when working with the responsive image gallery. Specifically, it looks like the captions and hover effects for the circular options in that gallery are having some browser-specific problems: specifically, the hover effect appears to generate a square effect over the image before eventually resolving to the circular appearance of what the caption/hover effect should look like. This only appears to happen in webkit-oriented browsers (Chrome and Opera). The hover/caption effects appear to work perfectly in IE and Firefox.

The issue is a little bit nebulous to explain, so I have a few gfycats showing the problem in action:

https://gfycat.com/GreatFabulousHornedtoad (Not working correctly in the latest version of Chrome (50.0.2661.87 m)
https://gfycat.com/AcrobaticObedientGardensnake (Not working correctly in the latest version of Opera)
https://gfycat.com/BewitchedPlumpDeermouse (Working perfectly with the latest version of firefox)
https://gfycat.com/FluffyAggravatingBoto (Working perfectly with the latest version of IE on Windows 7)

The issue seems to affect multiple hover effects, including colorize and others. It also affects the various different caption types other than fade (such as push, etc), as they also start with a square effect even if a circular icon is used.

I am using non-default icon sizes of 200×200, but tried changing it back to the standard 150×150 and it had no effect. I’m also still on WordPress 4.4.2; probably going to make the jump to 4.5 soon, but I don’t think that’s what is causing this issue. The fact that things work in Gecko and Trident layouts suggest that there may be some webkit-oriented issue manifesting the problem.

Could you guys give things a quick check on your end and see if you see similar behavior? Thanks again for the help.

Tried upgrading to the latest version of WordPress, as well as disabling a bunch of other plugins that I thought might potentially be causing issues; unfortunately, I’m still seeing this problem and it still appears to be browser-specific (only affecting Chrome and Opera). Do you guys see anything like this in your latest stable branch?

Hey guys, still having this issue. I don’t believe it’s theme-related because it also happens in the preview section of the plugin when creating galleries. Has anyone else reported anything like this recently or is it just me?

The galleries are continuing to display correctly with Firefox and IE 11 but show incorrect hover overlays in Chrome/Opera. I’ve tried clearing thumbnail caches and CSS optimizations from the settings menu but it hasn’t produced any effect.
