• Good afternoon, I am trying to configure the plugin, but Google Maps API only gives me one API KEY, but in the plugin I have to enter two keys.

I have looked at documentation, but I don’t know where I have to get them.

  • Hi, thanks for reaching out!!

We do have a comprehensive article in our documentation where we explain in great detail how to generate both keys: server key and browser key. They are both necessary and used for different purposes.

Please take a look at the mentioned article and get back if you have any issues or get stuck in any of the steps.

    Regards!

I have done all the steps in the video, and you only get an API KEY. At no point do I see two

Just create a second API key on the credentials page at the top (I think it’s “+ crear credenciales” in your language). Then follow the documentation. Point 1 and 2 describe the first key (Browser key), point 3 and 4 the second key (Server key).

In German it looks like this: https://postimg.cc/Xrk9msqk

Hello, I have put the two keys.

The second one I have restricted to the IP of the server, but when I do the test in Show Response gives error the key of the server, but in the front the map looks correct.

Maybe the server key, when I create it, takes some time to be effective?

Hi again @angeldavo! And hi to @clsh, thanks for the reply. Our instructions do cover the creation of both API keys as you mentioned ??

As for the “show response” test in the backend, sometimes it is useful to have the Javascript console open in your browser before you validate the API keys. You can open the javascript console in most browsers by pressing the F12 key.

Please open the javascript console, click the “Show response” button, and let us know if some other errors related to the API keys do show up there, chances are there will be some error messages with a more detailed description of the issue.

    Thanks!
