It’s a staging site so you will need the login details to view the frontend:

    User: metroshowdev
    Pass: metroshow

The plugin was working fine just last month, when I tested the plugin, added the browser key and server key. Now all of a sudden I’m getting a Browser Key error when I try to “Show Response” in the settings. Oddly there’s no errors in the browser console, in FF or Chrome.

I tried to regenerate the keys, I removed all http restrictions for the API Keys. I even used another account, a workspace account, to create a brand new project, generate brand new keys and tried those keys, and still getting the same browser key error when I run the Show Response in the settings.

I’m somewhat confused what’s going on, as it almost seems to be a plugin bug I’m dealing with. And I’m using the latest version of the plugin with the latest version of WP.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hi there! Since you marked your issue as “resolved”, I guess you found out what the cause of the issue was. I just took a look at your website now and the map seems to be working just fine. Is there anything relevant here that was causing the issue?

Thanks for your speedy reply! I actually had set http restrictions for the server key, and that was causing the issue…that, and my impatience to wait 5 minutes for changes to API keys to appear on my end. The trial and error eventually got me to figure out that http restrictions to the server key blocks it from working. I gather from the troubleshooting page that I need to add IP restrictions instead? It’s too bad, because I much prefer to add http restrictions.

    Cheers,

    Zach

    Hi again,

Yes, as advised by Google, the server key needs to have IP restrictions, whereas the browser key needs https restrictions ??
