I started having issues in the admin with sorting the gallery images. I can rearrange them but can’t save the new sort order, they just jump back to the old order.

First Solution: I updated my NextGen Gallery Plugin to 2.2.46. Now I can save the new sort order but when I go to the page where they are displayed and click on the next/previous image numbers, the page jumps to the top, updates the image then stays there. It should go back down to the slide show that is being clicked on.

You can see at https://www.innatblackberrycreek.com/cms/suites-and-rates/. There are 4 seperate slide shows and all 4 do the same thing.

    Thanks for any help.

  • I had the same problem. Under gallery settings tick the box that says “enable Ajax pagination”. That should do the trick, it worked for me.

@meesha@oldhonky recommendation is likely going to be your best option.

    Thanks!

Thanks to Old Honky and Imagely for your responses.

After getting excited about a potential fix, I went to gallery setting but found that the “Ajax pagination” box was already checked.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.

I just updated the plugin to 2.2.50 which didn’t help.

I then turned off all the plugins which didn’t help either.

    Thanks for your help.

I’ve figured out a work around to this issue.

It’s been awhile since I’ve worked on this site but now remember having this same problem when I switched from 1.9.12 to 2.0.61, so I just stayed on 1.9.12.

I’m back working on the site again and noticed I couldn’t sort, so I updated to 2.2.5 and then could sort. Then I found the issue on the front end, but since I’m done sorting I just switched back to 1.9.12 and the client’s happy because the page displays correctly.

In the meanwhile hopefully one of you will find a fix.

    Thanks for your help.

@meesha – Are you changing the specific inserted display’s setting for Ajax Pagination?

@imagely – I’m not sure what you mean.

The only Ajax Pagination I know of is in the Gallery Settings, which is checked.

When I looked there I found:

    Enable AJAX pagination
Browse images without reload the page. Note : Works only in combination with Shutter effect

Do I need to have Shutter Effect?

If so I’m not sure what it is or how to add it.

    Thanks for your help.

@imagely – I started through the Gallery Settings looking at each setting and found that under NextGen Basic Image Browser the setting for Ajax Pagination was set to No.

Changed that to yes, updated and now my browser doesn’t jump to the top of page anymore.

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction.
