We have just come across a problem with the Braintree Plugin and Internet Explore app on Android. It states that the Browser is not supported – See image below. I disabled the plugin on the site and could put through orders with other gateways.

    Hi @hanneslf,

Some more information would be helpful such as version of IE etc so that can be communicated to Braintree. Were you using the dropin ui or the custom forms? The iFrames used by Braintree for input fields are not compatible with some browsers.

I have the custom forms enabled and if I disable it it does not show the error message.
The Browser is actually called Web Explorer ver 10.3
    Thanks

    Hi @hanneslf,

When you say disable “it” are you referring to the plugin being disabled or the custom forms so that the dropin form is used?

There are some browsers which are not supported by the hosted fields iFrames which the custom forms use. I will need to contact Braintree and see if there is an existing issue with that browser but since that browser is not mentioned in the Braintree dev docs I would assume it’s not supported.

    “It” refers to custom forms.

The only reason I became aware of it was that a customer could not checkout. I only installed that browser to test. ??

    Hi @hanneslf,

I spoke with Braintree Customer Support and they confirmed that the browsers listed in the links I provided for you in my previous response are what they test on and guarantee to work. Any other 3rd party browser may work but Braintree makes no guarantee that the hosted fields and dropin form will be supported.

    Kind Regards,
