I just changed the permalink structure in my theme and I noticed that there is a brief flash now in the browser when clicking links, during which the window turns white. This normally wouldn’t be much of an issue, but my theme is very dark with a black background, and the white flash is very noticeable and annoying. This didn’t happen when the original permalinks are used (ending with the post id number). Even when a page took awhile to load it would still transition without flashing white. Is there any way to get around this?

Alright since it didn’t happen in other browsers and I knew firefox was better than that, I finally narrowed it down to being the google toolbar plugin for firefox, which made the flash occur only when different permalinks were used for whatever reason. Just in case anyone has the same issue.

more specifically it’s the sidewiki tool in the google toolbar.
