• Hello,

I have compatibility problems on my new site under development.
    https://c-o-b.baksagaspar.com/
    I developed-tested it on Firefox.

    – on Safari my friend checked it, and the @font-face method (from https://perishablepress.com) in CSS doesn’t work with it. what’s more the font size is really messed up, since the fonts use different sizing than the standard (Arial etc.). luckily IE shows it correctly
is this font selecting method not compatible with Safari?

    – on IE the Search bar in the header looks messed up, even after I applied a positioning fix (by setting div’s width to IE compatible)

Thanks for any suggestions and help…

    Best Regards,
    gaspar

  • You could try sorting out some of your CSS errors.

Thanks, but unfortunately I’m a bit lost at this error page ??

I see it lists also some errors in the plugins scripts (Next Gen gallery and Lightbox). Does that mean some of the most used plug-ins are also not completely valid?

As for the font-face property, is it altogether not supported in valid CSS level 2.1? But then how to point the browser to some non-standard font?

For the searchbar I see transparency changing on hover is not supported, but I see no indication how the IE positioning error could be solved.

Could you please point me to some concrete solutions for it?
    Thank you for your help.
