• I am using the latest version of WordPress and I try to add the Browser Caching Code and save the file. It saves and when I go and check back the Code is not there.

Is there any way to fix this problem. I have disabled performance and caching plugins and trying to repeat, but same problem.

  • How are you editing the file and saving it?

Have you tried downloading the file, making your changes locally, and then uploading it, overriding the old version?

I go to CPANEL, File Manager, access the file, edit the code, Save it and close the file.

Also tried downloading the file and reloading it.

Just tried that but same problem.

You may want to contact your host for support. They may have some sort of caching in place that is overwriting your file, or they may not let you write your own .htaccess. Hosts can be funny about different things sometimes.
