    Hello!

This plugin looks excellent – exactly what I’m looking for, but with the latest version of WP it only seems to work with block quotes, and not with highlighted text.

Do you know why this might be? I’ve tested on two different sites – one running a customised version of twentyeleven, another on Bootstrap and neither works with highlighted text. (This option is definitely enabled under settings).

    Your help much appreciated!

My guess is that the issue you’re seeing is theme related. The plugin uses wp_enqueue_scripts to insert quotable.js in the footer, but depending on the theme, that might not work. Can you check and see if quotable.js is included on the page?

    Hi Josiah,

    Thank you for your plugin.
But I have the same problem on WP 4.1.1: It only seems to work with blockquotes, and not with highlighted text. ??

I checked quotable.js is well enqueued in the footer.
You can see it here: https://overthinking.io/test/ or here https://overthinking.io/bonjour-tout-le-monde/

    Nevermind, I found it !
    It was a z-index problem on the #quotable-toolbar element…

Ok. Glad you found the issue. If your theme conflicts with the CSS on #quotable-toolbar, you can add always custom CSS for that element in your theme. Would you recommend any CSS changes for the plugin?
