• I went to one of my blogs and noticed that all of the images were gone. It basically looks like an RSS feed. Unsure of why this happened, I upgraded to 2.6.1, but no change. Deleted all of the themes except Default, still no change. In fact, when in Design, I don’t even see the Thumbnail, even though I can see it in the file folder.

The blog is located at https://www.MyCookingShow.tv/blog and any suggestions would be appreciated, as we’re considering exporting everthing and starting over at this point.

  • I got the homepage to come up styled, but links within the blog give this error:

    Not Found
The requested URL /caylee-anthony-still-missing/2008/09/05/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/1.3.33 Server at blog.peacockandpaisley.com Port 80

that’s because you removed the blog/.htaccess

A great big huge thank-you to whooami for her patience and dedication to walking me through this. My blog is finally back up and running properly thanks to her. And I’m tremendously relieved.

For any other GoDaddy users, there is a lag of time between when you make changes to a .htaccess file and when the changes show up on your site. This may be true of other files or functions; I’m not sure. But it was the case with this one.

Best regards to all, and again thank you!!

    youre welcome ??

I too had a similar issue. Unfortunately for me it was something completely different causing the issue. When I went into the themes page it would say “style.css file unreadable

I tried EVERYTHING to fix it…

Turns out it was something VERY simple. I had somehow listed “root” as the file owner!! Therefore the normal user wasn’t able to see the file as root owner comes with restrictions.

You’ll need to use WinSCP or SSH to fix this, I don’t think it can be done via FTP.

I just thought I would throw my 2 bits in here in case someone else has the same issue as me.
