• So I have now tried to browse themes to install on three different browsers across two computers and two instilations of wordpress on two different servers. All seem to be having the same problem with previewing themes:

Not all the theme content will load, and certain pages turn up as the old theme that was the default prior to twenty ten. Effectively, I can’t get a good sense for any of the themes I’m looking at and it’s become quite a hassle.

I don’t seem to see anything about this in the forum here or in a twitter search, so either it just happened, or it’s somehow a curse I’m suffering alone?

The only thing that has remained constant in all my testing is the ISP and my location.

Anybody with any insight or tips?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I am having the same problem. It isn’t plug-ins because I’m not trying to preview from my wordpress site, just from the www.remarpro.com website. Also, I have the same problem when accessing www.remarpro.com from my smartphone. It happens across browsers as well. I’ve tried Firefox, IE 8, Safari, Chrome, etc. It even happens occasionally with Twenty Eleven. It is also not repeatable, but seems to happen at random times. The only thing that’s predictable is that it will happen at some point when I select “parent page” or “about” that I’ll end up with some page display that is clearly not even associated with the theme I am previewing.
