Broken Theme – Parent theme is missing?

  • Hi, I am new to WordPress and recently created a theme – I followed all of the steps but was given a broken theme error:

    The parent theme is missing. Please install the “use-this-to-define-a-parent-theme–optional Version: a-number–optional” parent theme.

    On clicking “install parent theme” I get the following message:

    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Can anyone help ?
