    Hi,

I’m trying to upload a new theme, Natural Essence, onto my WordPress Dashboard. I have created a new folder, wp-content/natural-essence in my FTP Client, Cyberduck.

I drag-and-dropped the theme folder that I downloaded into the /natural-essence folder in TFP Client. This created a subfolder, /natural-essence-template/, which contains a subfolder called “img”, several .html files, a .txt file, and a stylesheet.

In the Design section of my Dashboard, the theme is shown as broken with the following comments: stylesheet is missing, template is missing.

I notice that the Natural Essence theme doesn’t appear to have any .php files. Is this the problem?

    Wrong!
Every theme should be in its own folder like this:
    wp-content/themes/natural-essence/

And if a theme doesn’t have any .php files… it is NOT a theme.

Ah, thanks. I did write the folder name incorrectly. From your response, I think that the theme is to blame. I will look for another.
