• Our church website has stopped working and we do not know why. The home page displays but there are no images. The media library does not display anything and just spins forever. You cannot create a new page that contains images or other media. If you navigate to any other page you get a page not found error although they exist. I’m wondering if the site map has become corrupt or similar? Can anyone help please?

  • Has the site been migrated recently? I see the pages 404, and also the images that are not loaded on the frontpage, are 404’ing. Looks like some files are missing? In terms of pages not loading, you might want to flush your permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and click on the “Save changes” button without changes anything else on the page.

It has not been migrated but it has been messed around with – I have flushed the permalinks as suggested and the connectivity between the home page and the other pages has been restored but the media files are still not loading – all of the .jpgs and .pdfs are in the uploads folder but the website seems unable to find them?

Did anything change under Settings > Media – do you see a input field where a custom path is configured that no longer is correct? If there is nothing there, it’s just the default path and you can ignore this check.

Hello. We have a church website hosted by WordPress but can no longer get in to edit it or make changes. None of the old codes work. What do you suggest.

    Hi @psalm121,

You better create your new topic than write into an almost 4 months old topic irrelevant to your issue. Yours is most likely different than this one, as this one was media related.
