Broken Responsive Theme

WordPress 4.3.1 running Responsive theme.

Yikes! Just did an update of all of the not up to date things on our site and wow – did it get broken.

Obviously major work needed, but right now I’d love a pointer to how to get rid of:

I’ve deleted those words everywhere that I can find them, but they refuse to go away.

That stupid cyberchimp graphic. Again, I cannot figure out how to nuke that thing.

Oh yeah, how do a I set the home page as a “Static Page” if it’s not listed in the drop down box for that?

Sigh. As my girlfriend always says “Updates ALWAYS break stuff.”
