Broken Permalinks Since Update to 4.4.X
-
Hello,
I noticed the issue after I updated a client site to 4.4.1. I have added two articles since the update and in both cases, the permalink redirects to the category page. Example:
https://personhuffcpa.com/5-reasons-why-you-should-hire-a-professional-to-file-your-tax-return/
redirects to
https://personhuffcpa.com/articles/
It does not matter if you click the link from the bottom of the homepage, from the Article archive or using View in the Dashboard, the result is the same.
If you go to the homepage, you will see four posts at the bottom. The older posts redirect exactly as they should:
https://personhuffcpa.com/4-things-to-know-about-filing-your-small-business-tax-return/
The two posts I have added since the update to 4.4.1/2 (I updated to .2 this morning in hopes it would fix this issue) exhibit the redirect behavior above.
I have searched extensively for a solution. I have tried setting my permalinks to have a numeric lead, setting them to use a custom base, tried accessing them by /?p=, tried resetting the permalinks by saving again, tried restarting the site multiple times to dump the server cache and nothing works.
I had already encountered the issue with CamelCase URLs when I started upgrading other client sites to 4.1. The URLs in the options table are all lowercase.
It has to be something with the 4.4.X versions because as described above, all posts created in earlier versions link correctly.
HELP?
Melissa
