broken links when i upload an image to a post

Hi, WP has been working great before i installed google gears and now every time i try to upload an image to a post i just get a broken link image in the post window, i have tried uploading from my computer with browser and flash and from the galley without any results, i should also add that im using the latest version of Firefox. And i have tied deactivating gears+uninstalling it as well as cleaning out the previous caches….cant seem to figure out where i went wrong?
Any suggestion would be seriously appreciated!
