  • How did you delete the links?

If you edit a link in the post editor or delete it using the “Unlink” function, the plugin will usually remove the report automatically. On the other hand, if you use some other tool (like a find & replace plugin) to delete links, Broken Link Checker might have no way to know that you have deleted them. In this case, opening the post(s) and clicking “Update” will usually fix it.

i deleted them manually on the page, but a long time ago
i’m very surprised to find these links again…they are not on the website
I only use this plugin very occasionally

    i don’t really understand

Try opening the page in the editor and clicking “Update” without changing anything.

    hello,

    it does not change
there are months that I have removed these links ….
may be that the data is still in the database …
I used this plugin, but now I can not trust myself
    i stopped it
    thank you for your help

Are you sure the post/pages with the links are not in the trash bin?

Why does it checks link in the trash bin? Can I disable this?

I can only disable these in the Settings:
    Published
    Scheduled
    Draft
    Pending
    Private
    Spam

Normally the plugin doesn’t check posts that are in the trash. The “Trash” status doesn’t show up in settings because enabling it would make no sense. It’s disabled by default, and there’s no option to enable it.

Do you have any examples where the plugin actually checked posts that are in the trash bin?

Sorry.. I think I must be wrong then.. Maybe the posts were in draft status..

Well, if something like that happens again, feel free to report it. There’s always the possibility that I might have missed something.
