broken links

hello all,

I don’t know how to use word press to set up themes so i can get links to work in the theme (links to other pages, or about page etc…

I don’t know where to go to edit the information to make things work

i have a domain with word press 2.8 installed.
i downloaded a custom theme
i uploaded and installed it to my wordpress
i can make a post

i am trying to use theme f8 lite or fullscreen by graph paper press.
maybe the guys themes are tweaky, im not sure since i am brand new to this. it just seems that there should be a simple way to make links work. the only reason i am using these themes as i am a photographer and both are great for photo portfolios.

For example the bar at the top there is a hover link to click “About” I have gone into the pages menu and written what I want it to say but it does not work. when I save changes and go to the page and click on it, it says its broken or 404.

any help would be GREAT
