Maybe I’m missings something, but I’m sure broken links never showed to frontend users before.

    Hi @jenpowerwebtree,

I hope you are doing well today!

I assume you are referring to the non logged visitors, can you share some screenshots or links about that we can see and have more information about the issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,

Hi Nithin, I have the same issue. I have contact Elementor and there team has found the cause. A class is causing this. I only had this problem in the mobile view of Elementor. After deactivating the plugin the problem didn’t exist.

    Hi @jenpowerwebtree @vjosnl

Broken Link Checker can “strikethrough” broken links and it’s not “admin” or “logged-in” users only. There’s an option for that on

“Settings -> Link Checker -> General”

page in back-end. If you switch off the “”Apply custom formatting to broken links” and “Apply custom formatting to removed links” checkboxes and save settings, it will not do that anymore.

Note: you may need to clear cache on site/server after change is made.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Thank you Adam for your answer. I will check it out!

It makes it very hard for authors to find the broken links without any formatting.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for formatting not to be shown to logged-out users. I’m sure that’s how it used to work at one time – I’ve used the plugin for years.

This could be a nice idea yes, we are working on a new Engine that will bring some improvements, and once this is released we can start implementing some improvements on the modules too.

We don’t have an ETA yet but please keep the plugin updated.
