We have reviewed your plugin and experimented with the Local link functionality. We observed that to utilize all the ACF fields, they need to be manually configured. However, we are curious if there’s a way to automate this process by inspecting the frontend pages and extracting the URLs of the actual pages containing the desired ACF fields.

We would appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have regarding this matter. Thank you!

    Hi @testcs1041

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

You are right – fields need to be configured in case of the “Local” engine. This is because this engine doesn’t crawl the site but just reads the content from the database/files.

It needs to be “told” what/how to read. There is no way to “automate” it.

The “Cloud” engine works in a very different way. It’s like a crawler and it actually doesn’t really care whether given URL/link comes from ACF, content or even if it’s just “hard-coded” in HTML. It literally crawls the front-end of the site – similarly to what eg. search engine crawlers would do – and grabs URL to check from there.

So with “Cloud” engine – no, you wouldn’t need to “configure” ACF and similar; As long as the link is there on the front-end, it’s checked (with a few exceptions that are deliberately skipped ignored; see here please).

Thanks, but it works HORRIBLE! The payment process was already horrible because I paid and immediatly the BLC functionality was blocked for me, now a few days later… it suddenly works again.

But, it is searching through 4000 links and it cannot even check more than 20/30… after those we keep getting the error “
    Internal Request Timeout”

    While:
    1) The website/links are perfectly fine which have those errors
    2) The website/links are NOT slow or timed-out (unless you are not running this in batches and throw 4k checks immediate….)
