We’re evaluating the Broken Link Checker Plugin on our WP website.
When we make an Edit any given URL it has no impact on the actual webpage.

This is the free version, but shouldn’t this also work with that version?

    Hi @rickogg

I hope you are doing well.

I am afraid it is an issue in the plugin, our developers are already working on a fix but it should work on Free as well.

Can you let us know which page builder you are using and if it is the local or cloud version so we can make sure to test with the same environment?

    Best Regards

Beaver Builder and we’ve tried both the local and cloud versions, neither are working with our website.

    Hi @rickogg

I tested Beaver Builder -> text editor module and links there are reported as broken using local version. Also using the local version I’m able to edit and unlink those links. Can you let us know which module you use in Beaver Builder? It is maybe an HTML module or a Call to action button?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

I attempted to mirror what you outlines. I used the text editor to add text to a page and also the link to https://www.googles.com. The Broken link checker detected the broken link. I edited the URL to be https://www.google.com and had it recheck the link, the Broken link checker confirmed that the link was now working. However, the actual page link did not change. It still links to https://www.googles.com

    Hi @rickogg,

I was able to replicate the issue on both the Cloud and Local engines. I am informing our developers about this, as we have received similar reports on other page builders. The developers will work on a fix for the issue, but we currently cannot provide an estimated time for its release.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

    Hi @rickogg,

As explained by my colleague there is a fix coming, even though we can provide an ETA at this time. I’ll mark this thread as resolved. Note that you can still reply on this topic.

If you have any additional questions or require further help, please let us know!

    Best regards,
