    Hi @bartvanpoll

    Sorry to hear you are having this problem.

    The plugin shouldn’t check any external site.

    Do you have any Object cache on your website?

    If so, can you please try to flush the object cache on your website?

    Then navigate to WordPress > Settings > Link Checker > Advanced, scroll the page and there is a Force Check button.

    Check if the issue is gone.

    Thanks a lot Patrick! I’ve flushed cache (I’m using WP Rocket) and have clicked “force check”. That seems to have fixed it.
