This extension is clearly labelled as supporting WP 5.0.

Yet, when upgrading to the latest version it just displays a message:

Elementor requires WordPress version 5.2+. Because you are using an earlier version, the plugin is currently NOT RUNNING.

Now my client has upgraded to the latest plugin version, and it is broken.

Please update the minimum supported version, so that people don’t get prompted to upgrade in the admin (rather than encouraging them to upgrade to a broken version).

Note, we still use WP 5.0 for stability/security, as this is what is provided by the Debian wordpress package, so we won’t be on a newer release until the next Debian release (which is probably another 3-6 months).

  • Hello,

Kindly perform the below troubleshooting steps, and feel free to skip what you already tried:

Please switch your theme (temporarily) and see if it makes any difference.

Please also regenerate the CSS via Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS on your WordPress Dashboard, then make sure that you clear:

your WP cache (your WP plugin if you have one),
your server cache (if you have one. In this case, you can contact your hosting provider),
    and your browser cache.

It explicitly says on the dashboard:

    Elementor requires WordPress version 5.2+.

Why would any of the above suddenly make it work?

I just reverted the extension for now.
