Just the other day, I was uploading pictures perfectly fine into my media library. After fidgeting with different image gallery options, the images in my library seem to be showing only a broken thumbnail. When you’re on my website, you can see two images I’ve previously uploaded perfectly fine, but their thumbnail in the library is broken. Additionally, I can’t upload new photos without them appearing broken. I’m a newbie and couldn’t seem to figure out the solution with previous threads, so my apologies if this is repetitive. Is this something I can fix in the WP dashboard? Or is it a more complicated process? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

  • Check your uploads path in Settings->Media. It should be blank in most installs.

I am having same problem images are showing as broken thumbnail on both places in library and on the place where it is placed in website. when i click on the broken thumbnail it says

    “Not Found

The requested URL /wp-content/uploads/2010/10/150520101513.jpg was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

how is it possible not found when the pictures are still there in the library showing as broken thumbnail…

moreover as u said to CJSearaphin to look at path in setting->media in my wordpress there is no such option of path there is only option for image size,,,
