    Hi everyone!

I’ve been trying to troubleshoot this all day, and I am at my wits end. Yesterday I purchased a new domain and installed wordpress, etc (my host is Bluehost). I installed some plugins and configured them, but other than that there is no content yet. Today while comparing different themes I tried uploading placeholder images and I keep getting the broken image icon. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to fix it. Some things I tried include:

-uploaded a .jpg version instead of .png
    -deactivated all the plugins
    -activated different themes
-checked permissions through the cpanel File Manager to make sure they’re correct
-checked that the image files are going to the correct folder in File Manager
    -checked my database user privileges

I’m not going to pretend to understand all that stuff, but I followed various tutorials step by step so I’m pretty confident in ruling them out. Any other ideas of what could be causing this?

If you are using Jetpack plugin, try disabling the CDN module (formerly photon) in the Jetpack plugin. https://jetpack.com/support/image-cdn/

Thanks for your reply! I actually just figured it out though. Phew!

For anyone searching this later: It turns out the problem was with Cloudflare. I had enabled automatic rewrites to https in my Cloudflare settings, however this didn’t actually kick in until I added the official Cloudflare plugin and saved my settings again through there. It was a mixed content error.
