rosa_1, I was looking at your site, and you have a LOT of broken links, and many that are not images. Seems like something else is broken on your site. Perhaps your rewrite rules got messed up with another plugin update besides EWWW IO?

Can you also provide a link to a page where you’ve noticed the images loading slowly so I can see the behavior you’re talking about?

How do you see the broken links? I do not see them…
You can check the behavior at https://www.signhom.net/professionalshub.

    Thank you!

Oh, I was looking at https://signhom.net/mediateca/
Everything I clicked on came up with a 404 page (I tried about 10 different things on that page).

On the Professionals Hub page, that background image is HUGE (for a PNG). I would strongly recommend converting it to a JPG, and quick…
See if that alleviates your image loading issues.

In addition, I would recommend taking a serious look at your image sizes. On the page I was looking at (the one I mention above), most of the images are not scaled properly. One example is this image: https://signhom.net/mediateca/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2013/04/Japan-160×90.jpg
It is scaled down to 160×90, but it is only being displayed on the page as 140×79. Running a quick check with Pagespeed Insights (in Google Chrome) shows that there is about a 17% reduction in overall image size that you could achieve with this one improvement.

That is besides the 13% you can achieve losslessly with the EWWW IO plugin.

Another useful tool that I’ve used is Yslow. There is a Chrome plugin for that, or you can use it alongside Firebug for Mozilla Firefox.

    Thank you so much!!
    Your help is much appreciated!!

I will follow your advice! I’ll update you!

Links in mediateca were broken because of deactivation of qtranslate slug. Now working again! Thank you!

You’re welcome! If you have any other issues related to the EWWW IO plugin, please open a new thread. As the original author has not commented in a week, I am going to close this as ‘resolved’.
