• All of a sudden, the logo I have been using in my google suite email signature is showing as a broken image. The image links to here: https://www.gostubbs.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/1332/2022/02/Stubbs-Plus-2in-wide-200dpi.jpg

If I go into the gmail-google suite settings to update the image in the signature, I get the following error:

“We can’t find or access the image at that url.
Please check the address for typing errors.
Make sure the image is public,. If your image is protected by a password, or on an internal network, we will not be able to read it.”

The logo shows while I am composing the email, but as soon as it sends, it shows as a broken image icon. This is happening with all people in my organization.

I know that making a whole new link might work, but I have some people in my company that will not have the skills to fix the error.

    Please help!

  • @nicflo This situation is very likely to be Hotlink Protection.

To disable Hotlink Protection on your hosting panel, follow these steps. The specific method may vary depending on your hosting control panel. Here’s how to do it in cPanel:

    1. Log into your cPanel control panel:
      • Use the link and login credentials provided by your hosting provider to access cPanel.
    2. Locate “Hotlink Protection”:
      • In the “Security” section of the cPanel dashboard, find and click on “Hotlink Protection.”
    3. Check the Hotlink Protection status:
      • In the opened page, check if Hotlink Protection is enabled. If it is, you will see a list of allowed domains that are permitted to access your images.
    4. Disable Hotlink Protection:
      • Click the “Disable” button to completely turn off Hotlink Protection.
      • Alternatively, you can add gmail.com or googleusercontent.com to the “Allowed Domains” field to allow Gmail to load your images.
      • If you want other email clients or websites to display your images, you can also add their domain names here.
    5. Save changes:
      • Click “Submit” or “Save” to apply the changes.

    Hello!
I do not have a cPanel set up, nor do I have “Hotlink Protection.”

    Any other suggestions?
